THE PRAXIC ORDER

The Praxic Order of Warlocks have been a known element of the Destiny narrative since the beginning, however the Praxic Order did not play an active role in the story until the events of Destiny 2: Renegades. Zealously opposed to the forces of the Darkness and wielding the deadly Praxic Blade, the warriors of the Praxic Order act as an ever watchful agency within the Tower. Working with the Narrative Team I established a visual identity suite for the Praxic Order which was used on character art, for UI needs, and as art within the game world.

The primary icon for the Praxic order combines the concept of the Praxic Fire, a flame which burns away the Darkness, with themes of constance vigilance. As a longstanding Order of Guardians within the Tower, it felt appropriate to augment the Praxic sigil with an array of heraldic accent shapes. Supporting iconography consisted of various shapes employing flames or rays. A repeatable geometric pattern was created as well as a full mural treatment where the primary mark was combined with various pieces of the secondary icon set in order to create an ornamental banner arrangement.
